Life and death, day and night, male and female, active and passive, hot and cold, good and evil. These are just a few of the many ways in which to view the principle of polarity.
Even as children we perceived this divine law in the myriad opposites of our world. Polarity is the perfect example of how tangible all of Gods laws truly are. All other universal laws are just as real, just as prevalent and just as powerful in our daily lives.
For without any references, how would you know what is hot if you did not experience cold, light and dark, how would you know good if you did not experience evil? Now if you read Isaiah 45:5, (first of the greater prophets) “I AM the Lord and there is none else. There is no God beside me, I girded thee, though thou hast not known me. We each are created in the image of God, male and female. This is God’s likeness. God is One who has a dual or polar nature: a father, or positive, masculine, active aspect and a mother, or negative, feminine, receptive aspect. Each person, each life form, each soul, each manifestation is created likewise.
From this description of the God Force, it can be seen that the terms positive and negative do not mean “good” and “evil.” God is only LOVE. Therefore, positive and negative describe two qualities of the one Divine Energy we call Spirit. God the Father is the Creator of law and God the Mother executes those laws.
Notice how the principle of polarity is reflected in the very names of some laws of God: cause and effect, give-and-take, attraction and repulsion. Though they are individual laws, their names express Gods divine duality. Indeed, all cosmic principles have dual or polar aspects.
Electric and magnetic fields are created from positively-charged and negatively-charged bodies. When we perform an act as simple as turning on a light bulb, Spirit’s principle of polarity is initiated.
As with every divine statute, Spirit gives us the free will to apply this law beneficially or detrimentally. One of the most spectacular cases of man’s reprehensible manipulation of the polarity inherent in nature is the creation of the atomic bomb, which was conceived and designed to create a sustained imbalance of positive and negative energies within the atom.
For us to do Gods will, both the conscious and the subconscious mind must be equally respected and utilized. Disequilibrium of their functioning leads to different forms of imbalance. For example, the conscious aspect can override proper subconscious functioning through overbearing skepticism and sole dependence on the intellect. Overreliance on the conscious aspect can also tend to make us regard dreams as irrelevant and meaningless, and thereby cut off a legitimate avenue through which we receive superconscious guidance from Spirit.
By the same token, a mind-set that favors subconscious activity to the exclusion of reasoned, conscious analysis can also lead to trouble; for instance, where inspirations, memory recall and information received in dream, meditation and intuition are exclusively depended upon and regarded as infallible.
In such a situation, conscious discernment would be regarded as tampering with inner guidance that should be followed to the last detail. Hence, proper conscious functioning would be negated. Common sense would not be available, and this could result in the person living in a dreamworld that serves neither self nor anyone else.
So may each of us strive to restore the perfect balance of Spirits divine polar expression within ourselves, which makes being one with our Father-Mother God possible through our superconscious, I Am Self.
